State of the Union (Obama Speech)

Obama's speech seemed very convincing and promising to the youth of the society as well as the adolescents, maybe a little too promising. I think he directed his speech to the youth, as well as our future and what he can do to make it easier for us. To me it all seems very convincing but I don't really believe what he is saying is all that true and I won't believe it until it happens. His goals for the education of our youth, and to have the highest graduation rate by 2020 are plausible but I think he is setting goals that are not in his reach. The fact that he is setting goals that are 11 years away, and seven years away from the end of his term, if he doesn't get reelected makes it seem like he is only trying to give himself more time to do other things. If he really wanted to do something about our education, I think he would set goals for achieving a better graduation rate year by year not in 11 years. The debts that he talked about were completely over thought, and when he spoke about the debt that his generation inherited, everyone rose as if they were proud of it. He is only persuading the people bit by bit to the point were he can say anything positive any everyone will stand up and clap without him even explaining what his approach to solve the problem is, that is if he even does. I will stay to believe that he is hoping that "we" will make the "change" and he is only there to keep us persuaded.
