I expect this class to be a good learning experience. I hope to learn about new English literature, and new writing techniques. I expect to read many different short stories and discuss the meanings of the short stories. I expect to do many different activities that involve class discussions.
I want to learn new skills about writing and different ways of writing. I want to inprove my skills in grammar, punctuation, and writing techniques. Learning new techniques in writing can help me overall with my writing skill as well as my reading skills.
My strengths in English are not so good, I'm a fairly good writer but it takes me a while to put my thinking into words. I'm an average reader, I like to read non fiction books because it is either true or based on a true story. I enjoy writing when it is something that interests me and I can really put a deep opinion in about what I'm writing.

Evan, You are a smart guy and just need to apply yourself. Also let your self loose and get a little more creative and expressive in your writing. I think if you were to read more, your writing would improve immensely. When you read you I read book practice reading as a writer. Pay attention to the authors craft and pull it into your writing. I want your This I Believe essay to jump off the page.
